1.Teaching Aims
This course is to introduce selected important topics in remote sensing and information engineering to both undergraduate and graduate students. Students shall be able to apply, customize or develop tools to implement image based spatial analysis capabilities.

2.Teaching Requirements
Students should be active in class and independently work on their assignments and projects. They are encouraged to discuss and work in teams. It is required that students follow instructions and have good working habit. Students should have proficient programming skills.
Students should be familiar with theories and techniques in remote sensing image processing, image fusion, and image classification. They should be able to implement methods in land cover classification and image-based spatial analysis.
